Privacy Policy

Every tool processes your file locally in your browser. Your video is never uploaded, streamed, or sent to any server, ours or anyone else's. We never see it, store it, or have any way to access it. When you close the tab, it is gone.

We do not require an account, and we collect nothing about the contents of your files. If you email us, we receive the email address and message you send. If analytics or ads are enabled (see below), limited, non-identifying technical data such as pages visited, approximate region, device and browser type may be processed by those third parties.

The tools themselves work without cookies. We use a small piece of local storage on your device to remember your light/dark theme choice. Where advertising is enabled, third-party providers may set cookies as described below; for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, a Google-certified consent management platform collects your consent before personalized ads are shown.

If analytics are enabled we may use a privacy-respecting analytics service (such as Google Analytics) to understand which pages are used. This never includes anything about the files you process. Google Analytics data, if used, is governed by Google's privacy policy.

Vidtools may display ads served by Google, using Google AdSense, to keep the tools free. Note the following:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices (or youronlinechoices.eu in the EU).
• Ads never receive your files or any information about them. The ad code cannot access the videos you process.

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to opt out of personalized advertising as described above. Because we do not collect personal data ourselves, most requests should be directed to the relevant third-party provider, but you can always contact us and we will help.

Vidtools is a general-audience tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
